Getting Started & Administration # Track jobs, notifications, and product updates October 14, 2026By [Admin](https://woodsportal.digitalwoods.io/en/resources/author/admin) WoodsPortal gives administrators visibility into background operations, an in-product notification inbox, email preferences, and product announcements. ## Track a background job 1. Start a supported operation such as portal synchronization, object or property synchronization, product installation, or association setup. 2. Open the jobs or notification surface. 3. Filter the list by job type or status when needed. 4. Open the relevant job and review its progress and result. 5. For a failed job, use the displayed error or context to correct the issue before retrying. ## Job statuses - Pending - Running - Succeeded - Failed - Cancelled ## Use notifications 1. Open Notifications. 2. Review unread and recent items. 3. Open an item to view the related product or operational context. 4. Mark or act on the notification through the available controls. ## Configure preferences and review updates 1. Open Account settings, then Notifications. 2. Enable or disable the supported email categories, including failed-job alerts and product announcements. 3. Save the preferences. 4.
